Named Pupil Teaching Assistant
Temporary, 25 hours per week, term time only
Scale D depending on experience, £8.70-£9.21 per hour

We are seeking to appoint a Named Pupil Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with special educational needs (Social, Emotional and Behaviour category). The post will also include some general teaching assistant duties. There is an opportunity for extra hours as a midday supervisory assistant.
The applicant must be able to offer the following:
Excellent behaviour management skills
Thorough understanding of the impact of social and emotional needs on learning and behaviour for young people
Flexible, sensitive and creative approaches towards dealing with behavioural issues
Ability to work effectively with other staff and carers
Willingness to undertake training where necessary
The following attributes would be an advantage:
Experience or qualifications in working with children with specific learning difficulties.
The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting one pupil: delivering targeted intervention and general teaching assistant tasks.
