Teacher Training Days (TD Days) 2025 - 2026

St John’s Catholic Primary School is closed to pupils on designated Teacher Training Days (TD Days). These days allow our staff to engage in professional development, training, and planning to ensure the highest quality education and care for your children. Please check the dates below for the dates of upcoming TD Days, so you can plan accordingly. If you have any questions about TD Days or need further information, please contact the school office.

Timings of the School Day

At John’s Catholic Primary School, our school day is carefully structured to provide a balanced and engaging learning experience for all children.

• Gates open: 8:30am

• Bell rings for children to enter classrooms: 8.40am

• Start of the school day: 8:45am

• Morning break: Around 10:15am–10:30am

• Lunch break: 12:00pm–1:00pm (times may vary slightly by year group)

• Gates open for end of the school day: 3.10pm

• End of the school day: 3:15pm

We encourage all pupils to arrive on time so they can start the day settled and ready to learn.

Breakfast Club and After School Club are also available for families who need early drop-off or late pick-up options.
