UKS2 Visit to Towbridge Museum

UKS2 Visit to Trowbridge Museum

 

Last week Upper Key Stage 2 visited Trowbridge Museum to help start off their topic about Saxons. We added to our knowledge of the local story of Alfred and the Battle of Edington using “Waylander”- a costumed volunteer who helped us all prepare for battle. We also learned what Saxon Trowbridge was like and dressed as Saxon using clothes alongside the Saxon loom. A big thank you to the volunteers and museum staff for 3 great mornings!
