  • "Jackanory"

    Fri 07 Jan 2022

This term we are excited to start our Friday ‘Jackanory’ sessions in the school library. Each   week a member of our school community will read   to a group of children to share their love of reading. This week, Mrs Poulter our Business Manager   chose to read from The Old Possums Book of Practical Cats, which combines her love of reading and cats. We look forward to sharing many more books with the children this term.

  • Attendance

    Fri 07 Jan 2022

Every term we carefully look at every child’s attendance. This week   letters have been sent out to those parents/carers whose child’s          attendance has fallen below 92%.

Be assured that these letters are standard ones, and in most cases   are simply an ‘early warning.’ We are required to send them, even when we already know the reasons why a child has been absent. Therefore please don’t be offended if you receive one.

On the other hand, if there are concerns about attendance, which aren’t explained by simple illness or other authorised absence, then we will set up an Attendance meeting, so that we can work together to support your child.

If you have any concerns about your child’s attendance, please speak to either your child’s class teacher, or Mrs O’Mahony, our Inclusion Lead.

  • Covid-19 Vaccines

    Fri 10 Dec 2021

    Covid-19 Vaccines

Trowbridge Health Centre have asked parents not to park in the    Wingfield Surgery/Care Home car park next to the school.

Over the next few weeks they will be dramatically increasing the Covid  vaccine programme so patients will need access to the parking spaces at all times of the day.

The surgery may monitor the usage of this private car park at school drop off and pick up times to ensure parents are not using these car parking spaces.

    Thank you.

Tyler-Llwandle M, Callum M and Arran S in Class 10 organised a raffle to raise some money for the Clifton Diocese Water Pump Project.

They asked pupils and staff to donate prizes. We received nearly 70 items.

This morning the raffle took place in the school hall with all the pupils in their classes on Teams video links.  As the winners were called out the pupils came to the hall to choose their prize.

We would like to congratulate the boys on raising £200 for this worthy charity.

    Advent Penitential Service

On Thursday 25th November we celebrated our Advent Penitential  Service with Fr Tom and led by our Year 6 children. It was a powerful reminder and reflection on the meaning of Advent and how we can use the coming weeks effectively to prepare for the celebration of the birth of Jesus. Many thanks to our Year 6 role models for leading us in    prayer and reflection.
