Whole School Mass - Friday 6th January 2023
This morning the whole school gathered together with parishioners at St John the Baptist Catholic Church to celebrate the feast of the Epiphany.
Canon Tom delivered a powerful homily reminding us of the events 2,000 years ago and how we are now encouraged to live out the message from the Maji and share our gifts with each other. The gift of a smile and laughter can go a long way! Thank you to the KS2 children who led us in the readings and the choir for leading our singing.
Happy Christmas From St. John’s School

A reminder that we have a T.D. Day tomorrow Friday 16th December 2021 so the school is closed to all pupils.

EYFS Nativity on Thursday 8th December 2022
On Thursday, Foundation Stage children took part in their Nativity Service. It was a special morning where parents, grandparents and family members joined to hear the recount of Jesus’ birth.
All the children played their roles wonderfully and sang their hearts out too. Everyone was left feeling festive and full of joy!
Thank you to all family members who joined us in church and thank you to the Year 6 children, Hannah, Jaiden and Charles, who narrated the service excellently. Please keep checking the website for more photos.

Class 3 Liturgy
Class 3 Liturgy On Tuesday 29th November Class 3 were excited to celebrate their Class liturgy with Canon Tom.
We focussed on Matthew's Gospel of preparing for the coming of the Lord. The children read with confidence and reverence. We selected the hymns ‘This Little Light Of Mine’ and ‘Be Still For The Presence Of The Lord'.
Well done to all the children in Class 3 you were fantastic ambassadors for our school!
Albert’s Charity Run for Kennedy’s Disease UK
Albert W in Class 6 completed a 2k run in honour of a charity very close to his family’s heart on Sunday 20th November.
He completed the run in 11 minutes and raised £180 for Kennedy’s Disease UK.
He’s incredibly proud of his achievement as are his family and friends.
Well done Albert!
