Class 2 Visit to Trowbridge Museum - Friday 20th January 2023
This morning, the children in Class 2 visited Trowbridge Museum. We had a wonderful time taking part in three workshops led by staff and volunteers at the museum. The children had an opportunity to explore the museum and complete a trail. They got to see amazing views of Trowbridge town through binoculars, which gave them an opportunity to explore buildings that are old and new in Trowbridge. Finally, they looked closely at clothing from the past and even had an opportunity to try things on! The children really enjoyed their time at the museum.
Children’s Mass
The children’s mass for term 3 will be the 10.30am mass on Sunday 29th January at St John’s Catholic Church, Trowbridge. We would be delighted if you and your child could come and join in. The Sunday Singers (open to all children) will be meeting in the church from 10.15am for a short rehearsal beforehand. The children will not need to wear uniform.
Please ask your child to sign up on The Sunday Singers sheet at school if he/ she is hoping to come to help lead the singing.

Foundation Stage Parents
The week beginning 23rd January, Foundation Stage parents are invited into the classrooms from 9-9.30am each morning to observe a live phonics lesson.
So that we can manage the number of adults in the classroom, we ask that parents communicate their preferred day with their child’s teacher using the communication record or speaking to your teacher at the end of the day.
We look forward to you joining us!

KS1 Crib Reflection
At the end of term, KS1 children created a wonderful Crib Reflection and Carol Concert on Wednesday 14th December in St John the Baptist Church.
They each sang with such joy and were keen to share their understanding of the birth of baby Jesus. The Year 2 children read beautifully and were confident in their knowledge of the impact scripture can have on our lives.
We are so grateful to the parents and families who joined our celebration - the church was full! It was wonderful to see you all and your contribution to our Emmaus Water Pump collection gathered £125.00 - so thank you so very much. Many congratulations to all the children - we are very proud of you all.
Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI
On the passing and funeral of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI the news was shared with the children. KS2 children engaged in an age appropriate Liturgical Prayer reflecting on the life he lived and his legacy.
