  • Parking Outside The School Gates

    Fri 01 Jul 2022

    Parking Outside The School Gates

Unfortunately on a daily basis, some parents are parking on the white lines directly outside the school gates.

This is severely impeding the vision for  anyone leaving the school car park as you have to drive into the middle of the road to see past these vehicles.

For your information, the legal distance from which you are able to park from a junction is 10m/32ft. This is to allow drivers merging from or  turning into the junction/road a clear view of the road they are joining. It is illegal to park any closer.

Thank you for your co-operation in parking safely.

During term 6, Year 6 pupils have been given the opportunity to have a cooking lesson with Mrs Beattie at The John of Gaunt School. The first two groups visited this week with Miss Sheaff and made delicious Veggie Enchiladas.  Thank you Mrs Beattie, they all had a brilliant time.
